On Revival:
“You want God,
But you Want Something More,
And You will Get what Yoiu want Most”
May we love God with all our heart, all our soul, and all our mind.

Oh, to see the dawn
Of the darkest day:
Christ on the road to Calvary.
Tried by sinful men,
Torn and beaten, then
Nailed to a cross of wood.
CHORUS:
This, the pow’r of the cross:
Christ became sin for us;
Took the blame, bore the wrath—
We stand forgiven at the cross.
Oh, to see the pain
Written on Your face,
Bearing the awesome weight of sin.
Ev’ry bitter thought,
Ev’ry evil deed
Crowning Your bloodstained brow.
Now the daylight flees;
Now the ground beneath
Quakes as its Maker bows His head.
Curtain torn in two,
Dead are raised to life;
“Finished!” the vict’ry cry.
Oh, to see my name
Written in the wounds,
For through Your suffering I am free.
Death is crushed to death;
Life is mine to live,
Won through Your selfless love.
FINAL CHORUS:
This, the pow’r of the cross:
Son of God—slain for us.
What a love! What a cost!
We stand forgiven at the cross.

I have never read the Left Behind book series. For some reason or another, the books never seemed to interest me. It wasn’t even till this past Sunday that I have read any part of them at all. So, like most good readers, I picked up the very last book and read the last few Chapters.
Yes, the books are fiction, and no, I cannot say they are completely accurate, but the last few chapters really got me thinking. They described all the Saints standing before Jesus in the new Jerusalem. All were worshiping Him and thanking Him for all He had done for them. There were no other emotions in their hearts but praise for the One who had saved them.
Though this is a very simple explanation of the larger context, the whole thing got me thinking. My mind was literally spinning because of the reality that could take place at any minute. At any second I could come face to face with the Savior of my Soul… and then what? How amazing it will be to be in the presence of Christ and worship Him perfectly.
Right now, my heart longs to personally express regret for all the times that I have fallen short, to say sorry for all the times that I have failed, apologize for all the times I have sinned. But, all of that is forgotten, all of that has already been forgiven, and all of that is under His blood.
I think I am beginning to realize how easy it will be to praise Him for all eternity…

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong, a perfect plea:
a great High Priest, whose name is Love,
who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on his hands,
my name is written on his heart;
I know that while in heaven he stands
no tongue can bid me thence depart.
When Satan tempts me to despair,
and tells me of the guilt within,
upward I look, and see him there
who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died,
my sinful soul is counted free;
for God, the Just, is satisfied
to look on him and pardon me.
Behold him there! the risen Lamb!
My perfect, spotless Righteousness,
the great unchangeable I AM,
the King of glory and of grace!
One with himself, I cannot die;
my soul is purchased by his blood;
my life is hid with Christ on high,
with Christ, my Savior and my God.

O great God of highest heaven
Occupy my lowly heart
Own it all and reign supreme
Conquer every rebel power
Let no vice or sin remain
That resists Your holy war
You have loved and purchased me
Make me Yours forevermore
I was blinded by my sin
Had no ears to hear Your voice
Did not know Your love within
Had no taste for heaven’s joys
Then Your Spirit gave me life
Opened up Your Word to me
Through the gospel of Your Son
Gave me endless hope and peace
Help me now to live a life
That’s dependent on Your grace
Keep my heart and guard my soul
From the evils that I face
You are worthy to be praised
With my every thought and deed
O great God of highest heaven
Glorify Your Name through me
